About Aunt Betty

My great-aunt, Betty J. Caver inspired not only the designs, but the skills behind the line.  Her conservative elegance always contrasted with that of other women in my family and her taste further extended into her jelwely collection which featured a fantastic collection of watches, and simple, but fine jewelry, which on Saturday mornings she and I would repair or disassemble and put back together. In the late 90s/ early 2000’s she was the first to encourage and support the development of my line of simple, yet meaningful pieces and would work with me as apart of restorative occupational therapy after a debilitating bought with juvenile arthritis and scleroderma how to not only use my hands again but to continue to create art with them.  Her tender and firm touch are why I was able to continue to study, be self sufficient, and bravely face not only physical rehabilitation, but would rehabilitation as well.  Through countless infusions, therapies, surgeries and disappointments she was there, holding my wrist when my hands hurt to much t be he’d.  Her quest and dignified presence are what carried me through.  With her love and just a little faith as our tagline shares, I am proud and excited to share with her memory, our story.

About The Mustard Seed

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple, we give the world back a small reminder of what we all have inside.  Each piece contains a unique mustard seed- as a reminder of Mark 17 which reminds us of our infinite abilities of strength and courage if we only have the strength of a mustard seed.  This is foundational for our weekly inspirational messages as well as products and events.  Our goal is to encourage and inspire.
